My Swimming Goal

My learning goal was to do smooth strokes in freestyle

and doing my best.

I enjoyed wearing life jakets,(we didn't wear goggles.)

I found it tricky when my class were kicking backwards

at the same time because

people were splashing in eachothers faces.

It helped a little bit when I moved to the side so no one

splashed in my face.

First I swam to the end on my back then we all got into

groups and did a huddle in

the water.

Then we kicked in a line on our backs and held each

others life jackets, my group

came 2nd place,(there were 3 teams.)

What do you like about swimming?

Shimmery Shapes

In room 4 we are learning to identify 2D and  3D shapes.

I learnt that it is really tricky to make a net somtimes ,trust me I've tried it before.

I liked learing about 3D shapes more than 2D shapes because I think 3D shapes

are more interesting.

My favourite part was making nets for the 3D shapes because it was quite

challenging.

I thought it was quite fun learning about 3D and 2D shapes.

Have you ever tryed making a net for a shape?

Robots!

Learning about robots

In maths I have been learning about robots and giving the robots instructions to

do.

(We have not been using a real robot.)

We had a man called Matthew Young come in to the classroom and he told us

about robots and my favourite robot was one that had a duck and a hammer on it

to smash other robots.

I have learnt that it takes a very long time to build a robot usually about 2 or 3

years for a descent robot.

Learning about robots

If you think it’s easy to make a robot trust me it’s not.

Do you like robots?

Māori words for insects.

I am learning to say Māori words for insects. My

favourite Māori word is ngata because I like snils and

the sound of the word. What Māori word do you like?
